A Lay Person's Guide to the Anatomy of the Neck

  • Course
  • 25 Lessons

This course is intended to give an overview of the anatomy of the neck, head, and upper shoulder girdle as a “frame” for the larynx, and to assist you with identifying the structures underlying the skin. It is by no means an all-compassing work on the anatomy of this very complex area of the body.

The course was written and resources curated by Sue Cooke, Grad.Dip.Phys

Sue trained as a physiotherapist at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital School of Physiotherapy in Birmingham, gaining her qualification Grad.Dip.Phys. in 1979.

After fifteen years of work in NHS and private hospitals in the London area, the last five as Physiotherapy Manager at the BMI Princess Margaret Hospital in Windsor, she moved back to Worcestershire to start her own private practice in 1994. She retired from her work as a practising physiotherapist in 2021.
