Mentored Teaching Pathway (MTP) — 6 months, with 1 year to complete. Great for beginners and improvers. Pre-set units, designed to give you the best possible start.
Mentored Advanced Practitioner Pathway (MAPP) — 9 months, with 2 years to complete. Suitable for improvers and more experienced practitioners, but can also be a great route for ambitious beginners. Your own choice of study units.

We currently offer 6 tutor-supported distance-learning qualifications for singing teachers, from Certificate to Advanced Professional Diploma level.
Each of the courses leads to a qualification in Teaching Contemporary Singing.
Every course:
is tutor-supported
comes with an option to pay in instalments.
starts at a time to suit you - any week day, except UK public holidays.
comes with a super-long registration period, allowing ample time to complete the work.

every student is assigned a private study room on our unique interactive online campus, together with access to our online library, and of course the opportunity to interact with other students, tutors and alumni.
each of these courses is pre-set, meaning that we have put together the modules that we think will best work for you at your chosen level. The 2 top-tier courses also allow for research projects and elective units.
Please note that these courses are not actively taught face-to-face. Rather, they are distance-learning courses in which you will be assigned course work. However, your tutors will be there to support you throughout your studies, and you will be able to book a number of face-to-face tutorials should you want to.

These courses are completely customisable. We have set the number of credits needed to achieve the qualification, and you choose which units you would like to study! We have a lot to choose from, and we're very happy to help you with your choices before you sign up.
Please note that these courses are not actively taught face-to-face. Rather, they are distance-learning courses in which you will be assigned course work. However, your tutors will be there to support you on a one-to-one basis throughout, and you will be able to book a number of face-to-face tutorials should you want to.

Whether you are a current student, a Voice College-qualified teacher looking for additional units to complement your existing qualification, or you are simply looking for a quick way to boost your knowledge under the guidance of one of our tutors, our Tutored CPD Units might be for you!
Any of our units can be taken for the purposes of Continuing Professional Development, as an addition to your existing (completed) course, or just for fun!
Please note, some of these units require the purchase of an accompanying text, while others are based on specially-written TVC core texts and other in-house resources.
Most of our stand-alone units are designed to be completed within 4 weeks (single units) or 8 weeks (double units), but we give you an ample registration period so that if life gets in the way, you can still complete your work.

There are no academic prerequisites for studying stand-alone units but please be aware that the units Understanding Vocal Registers and Better Belting are complex in nature and would not be suitable for beginner singers or novice teachers.
Applications for all CPD tutored units can be accepted from over-18s only.
